Allera launches retail sales of ImmunExtra®, proprietary product for Immune cell development

Tampa, FL (August 2008) – Allera has announced the immediate availability of Immunextra® pinecone extract for sale in select natural product stores in Florida. An upcoming national roll-out will make Immunextra widely available in numerous retail outlets.

“Pinecone extract has been used in Japan for many years for promoting wellness and fighthing disease”, says Dr. Akiko Tanaka, Ph.D., President of the Tampa Bay Research Institute. “We have been working on this for over 20 years, and we are pleased that Allera has made it available in a high quality, stable form here in the United States.

Immunextra has been available since October 2006 through direct sales and at immunextra.com.
Allera has engaged some of the key brokers in the industry to help it get out its message. Immunextra will be available in a floor display, along with free CDs and brochures explaining the background of the company and the potential benefits of the product.

“Unlike an immune booster, Immunextra can be taken safely every day. There are over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications demonstrating the activity of pinecone extract for a variety of conditions”, says Dr. Frank Tufaro, President and CEO of Allera. “This compound appears to help build dendritic cells and promotes a proper immune response when needed. It does not ‘boost’ immunity, or ‘trigger’ immunity; it simply helps maintain the army of immune cells so that they are ready to respond naturally.”

Dr. Tufaro is a former full professor of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He has published over 60 publications in the area of virology and cancer.
